Are you adding to your family through adoption? If so – congratulations! As many as 2 million couples in the US share your dream, and you’re one of the lucky ones! But, as exciting as it is, the prospect of becoming an adoptive parent can be remarkably daunting – no matter how long you’ve been waiting or how many children you already have at home.
Panic can set in. What do I do next, how do I care for this new baby/babies? That’s where we come in. We bring the same postpartum skills we offer in Arizona to you wherever that may be.
Will fly/or drive to the location of the delivery, stay with the newborn, while teaching you how to care for your newborn.
As a mother of an adopted child, I thought I would be fully prepared for our second adoption. However, when my husband and I received the news that our family had been chosen by a birth mom of twins (due in less than 3 months), it all became very real and overwhelming. Being new to Arizona, I instantly conducted an internet search and started cold-calling doula agencies in our area. When I called Debbie, I knew she was the one! She was eager to help and came to our house that day to meet face to face and come up with a game plan. I instantly knew that Debbie was the perfect fit for what we needed to ensure a smooth transition and for continued care after the birth of the twins. Debbie was an absolute blessing and still works to support our family today. Pre-birth, Debbie was accessible 24/7 and was great at guiding me to becoming a mom of adopted twins! When the birth mom had an emergency c-section 6 weeks early (and was living out of state), Debbie had support lined up to meet us out of state to support the twins on day one. I would absolutely recommend Debbie and her team to any family in need of support in any capacity. She can do it all!
